Da Lat Flower Festival 2024 Celebrates Flowers and Music

The entire Da Lat Flower festival is expected to have an investment of over 60 billion VND, with funding primarily coming from sponsorships. The overarching theme of the program is built on the spirit of celebrating flowers and music, two major elements that make up Da Lat tourism.

Mr. Pham S, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Lam Dong Province, shared that this year’s festival will be longer to allow visitors and locals more time to experience the activities. This extended duration aims to increase the promotional effects for tourism, agriculture in Lam Dong, and Da Lat as a creative music city.

According to the announcement by the People’s Committee of Lam Dong Province, the Da Lat Flower Festival 2024 will feature flower displays in public areas for one month, from December 5th, 2024 to January 5th, 2025, coinciding with the New Year 2025 celebrations.

These floral displays will be set up around Xuan Huong Lake, public parks (Yersin, Tran Hung Dao, etc.), and along Nguyen Van Cu, Le Dai Hanh, and Tran Quoc Toan streets.

The southern side of Xuan Huong Lake will host a unique and attractive flower exhibition managed by the Da Lat Flower Association, covering an area of about 1,000 square meters. It will include an outdoor flower space combined with a system of LED lights for nighttime illumination.

Traditional flower villages such as Ha Dong, Van Thanh, and Thai Phien will organize outdoor flower spaces to create highlights and welcome visitors.

On the nights of December 6th and 7th, Da Lat City will organize street art performances and parades of vehicles decorated with fresh flowers, featuring themes related to the city of flowers, music, and national unity.

Many Outdoor Events During Da Lat’s Most Beautiful Season

From December 5th to 15th, Tran Quoc Toan Park (Ward 10, Da Lat) will host the “Da Lat Vegetable and Flower Market – Magical Crystals from the Fertile Land” program. This market will feature 124 booths showcasing a diverse range of agricultural products that are specialties and strengths of Da Lat City.

At the event, visitors can enjoy free Da Lat agricultural products and receive flower arrangement guidance from renowned artisans. Integrated into this program is the Da Lat Street Beer Festival 2024, with the participation of many beer companies nationwide.

December 4th marks the 5th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Da Lat (Vietnam) and Chuncheon (South Korea). To commemorate this occasion, Da Lat will host a cultural exchange program featuring artistic performances from both cities. Artists from Da Lat and Chuncheon will showcase their talents, promoting the unique culture of each locale and country.

In addition to the main performance, there will be several other activities:

• Da Lat – Chuncheon Children’s Art Exhibition: Showcasing the creativity of young artists from both cities.
• Chuncheon – Da Lat Youth Football Exchange Program: A friendly football match between youth teams from both cities.
• 5th Anniversary Celebration of the Sister City Relationship: A ceremony to commemorate the ongoing partnership between Da Lat and Chuncheon

The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival 2024 also includes various other exciting programs that encourage active participation from Da Lat residents, such as:

Da Lat Youth Day: “Rhythm of Colors” taking place on December 15th.

Da Lat Ao Dai Festival with the participation of 500 women from Da Lat.
